Webmail, like any other material that is passed over the internet utilizes web servers to pass files and information from computer to computer. Email accounts, whether they are provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your web hosting company, or another third party such as Google or Yahoo, reside on these respective web servers. You can then access your emails by either configuring a e-mail client such as Outlook Express or Outlook on your computer or by logging into your online account with the email provider.
